More than three years after his untimely death, XXXTENTACION’s music continues to create history.
According to Chart Data, the Florida-raised rapper’s sophomore album ? has surpassed Drake’s smash 2018 effort Scorpion to become the most played Hip Hop album in Spotify history.
Scorpion held a commanding lead over? as of November 2021, with 7.5 billion streams to 6.9 billion. According to Chart Masters,? has subsequently surpassed Scorpion (7.883 billion) on the platform with 7.884 billion spins, beating it out by fewer than a million spins.
It’s a full-circle moment for XXXTENTACION, who dubbed Drake a “pussy n-gga” in 2017 after the Toronto megastar allegedly bit his “Look At Me!” flow on More Life’s “KMT.”
?, on the other hand, still has a long way to go to become the most-streamed album on Spotify overall. That honor is now held by Ed Sheeran’s, which has amassed a whopping 11.5 billion streams.
