Woman Accused of Pushing a Child onto Train Tracks in Oregon

In an unprovoked attack last week, a woman from Oregon is accused of pushing a 3-year-old child over a platform and onto the railroad tracks.

According to a news statement from the Multnomah County District Attorney, Breanna Workman, 32, has been charged with first-degree attempted assault, third-degree assault, interfering with public transit, second-degree disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering another person.

As people wait for the train to arrive, surveillance video shows a person who is thought to be Workman getting up from a bench and pushing the little child in front of a number of other people. The event happened on Wednesday evening at the Gateway Transit Center for the Northeast Portland MAX rail service.

After falling face-first against the metal rail and pebbles, the kid was swiftly saved. The toddler reportedly suffered a strong headache as well as a small red mark on their forehead from the accident. According to officials, Workman and the victim had not spoken before the event.
