Wiz Khalifa recently released his new single, “Never Drinking Again,” in time for New Year’s Eve.
“Just in time for New Years,” said Wiz in a post on Instagram upon releasing the track. “Enjoy your festivities drink responsibly and tag me when you use this sound in your video the day after #neverdrinkingagain.” On “Never Drinking Again,” he goes for a more melodic vibe rather than a rapping style. Furthermore, the single’s cover art, which has Wiz sprawled over Christmas presents and looking a little worse for wear, wonderfully captures the feeling of overindulgence throughout the holiday season.
The song comes after the release of Multiverse, his most recent album, which debuted in July and was followed by a deluxe edition in October. He experimented with a variety of styles for the project, describing some songs as “soulful” and others as being more club-oriented.
