Winner of $2 Billion Powerball Buys $25.5 Million Mansion in Hollywood Hills

In the same Hollywood Hills neighborhood as Jimmy Kimmel and Ariana Grande, the lottery prize winner from California has bought a luxurious mansion.

According to TMZ, Edwin Castro purchased a 13,578-square-foot home after purchasing a $2.04 billion Powerball lottery ticket at an Altadena Mobil gas station. Only one month before to the transaction, Castro received a $997.6 million lump amount before taxes. Dakota Johnson, Kimmel, and Grande are among his new neighbors.

The three-story estate has a sauna, full outdoor kitchen, gym, wine cellar, and theater. It also has an infinity pool. It also contains two separate garages big enough to fit seven cars, as well as a motor court in front of the property that can fit numerous more vehicles.

Another Californian man sued Castro back in February, claiming that he ought to receive a share of the winnings. José Rivera claims that his winning ticket was stolen. Rivera claims he bought the Powerball ticket on November 7 from Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, California, according to court records obtained by TMZ.

Later that day, he charged a man by the name of “Reggie” with taking it. After allegedly attempting to retrieve the winning ticket, Rivera stated he was told the ticket had losing numbers. Rivera then reported the theft to the California Lottery and the local police, claiming he wouldn’t be “blackmailed.”

Contrary to Rivera’s assertions, it appears that Castro hit the California lottery.
