Virgin Galactic reopens space tourism ticket sales

Virgin Galactic has reopened its lucrative extraterrestrial tourism trip to customers after selling 600 first-round tickets for a ride to suborbital space for $200,000 to $250,000 each seat.

According to CNN, tickets for the 90-minute journey will now cost $450,000. The business said that tickets will go on sale again on Feb. 16 and that a $150,000 deposit will be required, with the remaining balance payable before the trip takes off.

The first commercial flight for Virgin Galactic likewise has not happened yet. Sir Richard Branson, the company’s creator, was sent to the edge of space last July before first-round ticket holders began running. During Branson’s journey, however, the service light began to flash, and sources claim that the ship drifted beyond of its designated area for 41 seconds. As a result, the Federal Aviation Administration has grounded all future Virgin Galactic flights until further notice. After the company’s crafts were inspected, the injunction was removed in September.

Virgin Galactic went public in 2019, but no commercial flights have yet to take off. However, once it was revealed that tickets for the second round of commercial flights will be sold, the company’s shares rose 32%. Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, on the other hand, has already completed three successful voyages with a full crew. The cost of tickets for the suborbital flights is currently unknown.
