Vinicius Jr. turned down a ridiculous PSG offer to stay at Real Madrid

Vinicius Jr. just signed to a new four-year contract with Real Madrid, but Paris Saint-Germain reportedly tried to tempt him away from the Spanish club with a ridiculous offer.

PSG reportedly offered Vinicius Jr. a staggering yearly salary of €40 million (about $42 million), according to Marca. According to the same claim, the Ligue 1 club was also willing to pay a “huge signing fee” to the Brazilian youngster.

PSG has apparently been after Vinicius Jr. for months, hounding him since November in the hopes of convincing him not to renew his Real Madrid contract and instead opt for a higher salary package.

Unfortunately for the French champions, the 21-year-old adored the club and chose to stay despite the fact that they could not offer him the same financial package as PSG.

Vinicius Jr. is one of the most promising young players in the game today, not just in La Liga but throughout Europe. He catapulted to even more fame after scoring the lone goal in Real Madrid’s 2022 Champions League victory over Liverpool, and he has been a constant player for the team since then.

In the Spanish top flight, he scored 17 goals and added 10 assists for Real Madrid in 2021-22. He scored four goals and assisted on six others in the Champions League.

It’s no surprise that PSG was desperate to sign him and was ready to spend a lot of money to do so. His devotion to Real Madrid, on the other hand, cannot be purchased.
