The Canadian singer, as noted by TMZ, was recently photographed in Los Angeles wearing a large diamond chain that is thought to be worth $80,000. The striking necklace was made by famous jeweler Eric Mavani, who said that Avril received it from her new lover, Tyga.

The unique chain reportedly contains 50 carats of pink sapphires, white and black diamonds, and other gems. It contains a large “Avril” nameplate, the word “A” layered over pink hearts, a few bow-wearing skulls, and a clasp that reads “MFP,” which stands for motherfucking princess and is a reference to Avril’s 2007 song “Girlfriend.”

About a month after they were seen hanging out together at LA’s Nobu, Tyga reportedly gave the gift on Thursday night. Many people assumed Avril and Tyga were romantically involved because she called off her engagement to musician Mod Sun shortly after the seemingly coincidental sighting.

The two proceeded to fuel dating rumors over the next several weeks, as they attended multiple events together, including a party sponsored by Leonardo DiCaprio. Avril and Tyga were seen kissing at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer party a few days after they arrived at Paris Fashion Week.
