Travis Scott announces first live shows since Astroworld

Travis Scott will make his first public appearance since Astroworld 2021. Last year, the rapper’s music festival ended in tragedy, with ten people being killed and hundreds injured as crowds surged and trampled concertgoers. After playing at two private parties this year, the rapper is returning to the spotlight by headlining three Primavera Sound festivals around South America. The three events will take place on November 6 in So Paulo, Brazil; November 12 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and November 13 in Santiago, Chile.

A pre-Oscars home party in Bel Air, California, and a Coachella afterparty in a La Quinta Venue, where he sang five of his songs, are among the private occasions Scott has performed for. The morning after the pre-Oscars party, videos of Scott playing “Sicko Mode” became viral on social media.

Scott is scheduled to perform on May 7 at E11even nightclub in Miami, according to TMZ. According to Pitchfork, a source informs them Scott will host the event but will not perform.

Scott released “Hold That Heat” last week, his first single since the Astroworld tragedy, alongside Future and 808 Mafia producer Southside.
