Trailer for Final Season of ‘Better Call Saul’ is released

Better Call Saul is returning for its sixth and last season, and AMC released the season’s first full-length trailer on Thursday. It’s been over two years since the season 5 conclusion, but the show is returning shortly for its sixth and final season.

The clip shows Jimmy McGill embracing his Saul Goodman character with a confidence not seen in previous seasons, as he continues his transformation from eager young lawyer to full-fledged con guy — and fall into plenty of turmoil along the way. With this being the show’s last season, the timeline is moving closer and closer to many of Breaking Bad’s main events, thus there’s a good chance we’ll see lots more crossovers.

Perhaps not in the most obvious ways, however. As the trailer ends, Mike Ehrmantraut says, “Whatever happens next, it’s not gonna go down the way you think it is.”

The final season of Better Call Saul premieres on April 18, with seven episodes planned before a break; the last six episodes will begin airing July 11.
