Tottenham’s extensive search for a new manager has finally come to an end as former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo joins as Spurs’ new head coach.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Portuguese has signed for the north London club on a two-year deal. Tottenham’s new managing director of football Fabio Paratici flew into the English capital on Tuesday to help close the deal.
The Spurs board had held talks with an array of managers over the last month including their former boss Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca, Gennaro Gattuso and Julen Lopetegui.
However, Nuno’s climb up the Premier League outfit’s managerial shortlist saw him emerge as a front-runner to become successor to his compatriot Jose Mourinho, who was sacked towards the end of last season as Ryan Mason took over on an interim basis.
