Netflix is preparing to release an upgrade for iOS users that will allow them to play Netflix games on their smartphones. The update is the same as the one that was released last week for Android smartphones. Both developments had been anticipated since the streamer said in September that it was testing the gaming area on smartphones in a number of European nations.
Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Card Blast, Teeter Up, and Shooting Hoops, all of which are currently available on Android smartphones, will be available to iOS users starting this week. The games section will be featured on the Netflix app’s main screen, and all customers will be able to play the games for free. Netflix’s Vice President of Gaming Development, Mike Verdu, has already declared that the company has no plans to charge an additional fee or feature in-app purchases in its games. Ads will not obstruct your enjoyment of the game.
The games will be available for download separately on the App Store before being included in the Netflix app. To play, users only need to sign in with their Netflix account. Netflix Games will be available globally, much like the bulk of Netflix releases, and the games are expected to begin rolling out this Wednesday.
