Tom Brady, one of the best players in NFL history, has announced his return for his 23rd season, only six weeks after retiring.
Last month, the 44-year-old quarterback announced his retirement from sport after winning a record-tying seven Super Bowls.
Brady, on the other hand, has stated that he has “unfinished business” and will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“These past two months I’ve realised my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” he said on social media.
“That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my team-mates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa.”

Brady led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl victories after being picked with the 199th choice in the 2000 draft.
He joined the Buccaneers in 2020 and helped them win the Super Bowl in his first season, earning him his fifth Most Valuable Player award.
He led Tampa Bay back to the playoffs last season as a three-time NFL season MVP, and he still had a year left on his contract with the Bucs when he announced his retirement.
The team had yet to acquire a new quarterback, and when questioned about Brady’s return earlier this month, Bruce Arians stated, “That door is never closed.”
Brady narrowly failed to pull off a remarkable comeback from a 27-3 deficit in the play-offs, as the Bucs fell 30-27 to the eventual Super Bowl winners, the Los Angeles Rams, in his last game of the 2021 season.
Last season, he set a career high with 5,316 throwing yards and holds the all-time passing yards (84,520) and touchdowns records (624).
