Thor Love And Thunder Teaser Reveals Natalie Portman as Thor

The first look of Marvel’s highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder has been released.

The first teaser for the next superhero film, Thor: Ragnarok, debuted on Monday, anticipating Chris Hemsworth’s return as the hammer-wielding hero.

A slew of recognizable celebrities appear in the 90-second trailer, which is paired to Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” as the soundtrack.

The most moving scene may be MCU fans’ first view of Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor, disguised and holding Mjolnir while Thor looks on in amazement.

Thor: Love and Thunder comes after three previous Thor films: 2011’s Thor, 213’s Thor: The Dark World and the most recent, 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.

After wrapping production on the fourth Thor film in June 2021, Hemsworth, 38, teased the movie on Instagram, where he wrote, “The film is gonna be bat—- crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder!”

He added, “Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another incredible Marvel journey. Buckle in, get ready and see ya in cinemas!!”

Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, and Dave Bautista join Hemsworth and Portman, 40, in the film. Taika Waititi is the director of Love and Thunder.

Hemsworth hinted to his future as Thor when speaking on the Australian morning show Today in December 2021, after participating in many films as the God of Thunder. Hemsworth stated at the time that he is open to repeating his part in future projects.

“As long as they’ll have me, I’ll turn up,” he said. “But I feel like there might be waning, that kind of enthusiasm for me.”

Thor: Love and Thunder premieres in theaters July 8.
