According to reports, The White Lotus will visit Thailand for Season 3.

After filming at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, according to “multiple sources close to the production,” Variety reports that the 10-time Emmy-winning HBO series has selected its next location. The creator of The White Lotus, Mike White, might continue to rely on the upscale hotel network with properties in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and the Golden Triangle.

Based on the subjects explored in each season, White seems to imply in a Season 2 conclusion trailer that the upcoming episode would be shot in Asia.

“The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” he said. “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

Variety claims that White is presently scouting for potential shooting locations. There are no concrete updates on casting choices due to the actors’ interchangeability from season to season.
