The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” named No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 Song of All Time

 

 

“Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd has been voted the new No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song of all time, beating Chubby Checker’s 1960 classic “The Twist” by 90 weeks on the list.

The After Hours song, which was released in late 2019, reached No. 1 in 2020 and stayed there for four weeks. It went on to break records for the most weeks in the Top 5 (43), Top 10 (57), and Top 40 (40). (86 weeks).

The Weeknd released two high-profile collaborations earlier this month: “One Right Now,” a bachata duet with Rosala in which the Weeknd sings in Spanish and Mexican character actor Danny Trejo makes a cameo in the video, and “La Fama,” a bachata duet with Rosala in which the Weeknd sings in Spanish and Mexican character actor Danny Trejo makes a cameo in the video. He announced yesterday that Troye Sivan and Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio had been cast in his upcoming HBO drama The Idol.
