The outbreak of the Coronavirus in Tottenham might disrupt christmas period

A coronavirus outbreak at Tottenham has affected the club’s preparations for its pre-Christmas matches.

A number of players and club personnel have reportedly tested positive for Covid-19.

Over the following 24 hours, further PCR testing will be conducted.

Spurs play Rennes in a key Europa Conference League group game in London on Thursday before traveling to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.

According to Uefa rules, if they have 13 available players from their 25-man A list, including a goalkeeper, they must play the Rennes match, which they must win to qualify for the final 32.

If they do not have enough players, the game may be postponed, but all group matches must be finished by December 31.

The club has yet to decide whether or not to approach the Premier League over Sunday’s game at the Amex Stadium, although league fixtures may only be postponed by the competition board.
