The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Shares Intense Trailer

Amazon unveiled a detailed new look at The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power at Comic-Con one week after the release of the main teaser.

The latest look at the Prime Video show lays out what to expect from the plot, in contrast to earlier series previews that didn’t reveal too much about the plotline. The most significant aspect of the trailer is a glimpse of Anson Boon as Sauron, the main antagonist of J.R.R. Tolkien’s renowned novels. The show’s enormous scope is also demonstrated by the trailer, which takes place tens of thousands of years before Peter Jackson’s well-liked cinematic adaptations of the novel trilogy.

The trailer closes with an exciting preview of a very recognizable-looking Balrog, the same kind of monster fans would remember from Jackson’s The Fellowship of the Rings adaption. The television series, which has already received approval for a second season, promises to depict Sauron’s ascent to power and the creation of the Rings of Power, which stand at the heart of the trilogy of books.
