The documentary of XXXTentacion will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in 2022

The lineup of films planned to appear at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas from March 11 to 19, has been confirmed. Look at Me!, a documentary on XXXTentacion made by Sabaah Folayan, is included.

A synopsis for Look at Me! reads: “Look At Me! explores how Jahseh Onfroy tapped raw talent, a gift for connecting with disaffected youth, and a mastery of social media to fashion himself into SoundCloud rapper XXXTentacion—one of the most streamed artists on the planet.”

At the age of 20, XXXTentacion was killed in Florida in 2018. The rapper was charged with aggravated violence of a pregnant lady, domestic battery by strangulation, false detention, and witness tampering at the time of his death. He entered a not guilty plea and disputed the charges.

The Fader started working on a documentary on XXXTentacion in early 2017. Fader Films is producing Look at Me!, according to the publication. Producers Darcy McKinnon and Chloe Campion were recognized by SXSW.
