The Batman 2 is Confirmed with Robert Pattinson Returning

WB has confirmed that Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Matt Reeves, and the rest of the cast will return for a sequel to Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, announced the announcement at CinemaCon 2022, and while no story details or a release date were provided, we now have confirmation that a sequel is in the works.

Reeves came on stage to help announce The Batman, saying more details will be revealed “in a CinemaCon to come.”

There’s no news on what plot the picture will follow, but given the role that the Joker had in the first film, one has to believe that he’ll play a part. It’s also possible to get further into the Penguin, Catwoman, and even the Riddler. All of them made it through the movie and may be worth investigating further.

In the meantime, Warner Bros. has a slew of DC pictures on the way. In the next months, DC League of Super-Pets, Black Adam, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, The Flash, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will all be released. These films’ footage is also expected to be shown at CinemaCon, albeit it hasn’t been as of the time of publishing of this piece.
