As part of an upcoming holiday update, Tesla revealed that some Model S and X vehicles will support Steam gaming.
A user is seen playing Cyberpunk 2077 and navigating the Steam marketplace in the promotional trailer. In addition to a mouse and keyboard, wireless controllers are enabled (though the latter setup is undoubtedly unwieldy). Drivers require a Model S or X Tesla that was released in 2022, 16GB DDR, and Premium Connectivity in order to access the Steam beta feature.
Given that Steam integration is presently only available for relatively recent vehicles, Elon Musk confirmed the possibility of retrofitting older Tesla models on Twitter.
Tesla’s integration of Steam is expected. Musk has always been interested in bringing gaming to his flagship vehicles, as evidenced by his earlier this year declaration that he intended to integrate Steam into the Tesla.
When users could continue playing games while the car was driving, Tesla did have some issues with the US automotive safety department. Games may only now be played while the automobile is stationary because the feature was later deactivated by the firm.
