Teddy Ray, Comedian and Actor, Dead at 32

Teddy Ray, a stand-up comedian and actor who has had small parts on a number of series, passed away at the age of 32.

His passing was originally reported on social media on Saturday, and Comedy Central and All Def Digital, for whom he had previously created material, have subsequently verified the news. He frequently appeared on Pause with Sam Jay and Cancel Court more recently. The reason of death wasn’t made known right away.

In addition to his stand-up comedy and minor acting gigs, he created the “double cheeked up” meme. He recalls gazing out his friend’s butt in a video titled Confessions of a Transgender Gangster and only realizing who it is when they turned around. What the hell are you doing out here with all that ass, damn n***a? In the skit, which went viral as a result of the line, he remarked, “Double cheeked up on a Thursday afternoon, hella ass the sun is still out my n***a.
