Storm Reid has been cast as Riley Abel in HBO’s The Last of Us. She is best recognized for her role as Gia Bennett in Euphoria.

The casting choices for HBO’s The Last of Us have been granting some desires, ranging from Pedro Pascal as Joel to Belle Ramsay as Ellie. Since the initial casting announcement for the primary two characters, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Nico Parker as Sarah, and Nick Offerman as Bill have all joined the cast. That’s a star-studded lineup, to say the least.

Storm Reid has been cast as Ellie’s best friend, Riley Abel, in The Last of Us, just in case you thought the show needed any more star power. Reid shared the news on Twitter, writing, “I got some NEWS. Beyond excited to join the cast of The Last Of Us as Riley on HBO. Let’s get to work. 2022 looking bright already.”

Some fans speculated earlier this week that fresh set video from The Last of Us, which featured a shopping center, meant that filming for flashback scenes with Riley and Ellie, which were first shown in the Left Behind DLC, was presently ongoing. Riley’s appearance in the program was not confirmed at the time, but we now know for sure that she will appear.
