Steve Lacy has achieved his first-ever No. 1 on the chart with “Bad Habit” after retaining the No. 2 position on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks.
During the tracking week of September 23–29, according to Billboard, the song received 20.4 million streams, 40.3 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 2,000 download sales. The songs “Static” and “Dark Red” by Lacy are currently ranked Nos. 78 and No. 79 in the Hot 100, respectively. “Bad Habit” has knocked Harry Styles’ “As It Was,” which spent 15 weeks at No. 1, to No. 2 in the rankings.
“damn i ain’t even have to change fr 😂😂 we #1 babyyyyy,” wrote Lacy in an Instagram post celebrating the achievement. “july 11th was my first entry at 100 and today oct 3rd my first entry at #1. wow oh wow. i feel heavy gratitude all over my body. u know how the story goessss and how it’s goin. iphone boy to superstar 🤷🏾♂️.”
