Stephen Curry signed a contract extension with the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday as he acquired top spot for having the highest annual salary in NBA history.
The three-point hitman is the first-ever NBA player to sign two $200 million-plus agreements in his career with this latest four-year deal worth a whopping $215 million as per Hypebeast.
Despite the Warriors and Curry’s struggles, particularly with injuries and the departure of Kevin Durant, both parties are still optimistic that another NBA title could be on the way to Oakland within the next four years.
Next season, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and James Wiseman will be returning so this could see the Warriors returning to the post-season in what is a competitive Western Conference.
Although the Warriors went through their fair share of problems, Curry averaged 32 points, five assists and five rebounds per game last season. Time will tell if the 33-year-old can maintain or even better these figures moving forward.
