An new documentary will highlight the late Marvel Comics pioneer Stan Lee.
On December 28, the day before Lee would have been 100, Disney+ revealed that an original movie about him would be released in 2023.
Hundreds of characters, including “Spider-Man,” “The Avengers,” and “X-Men,” were co-created by Lee, who started his career in 1941.
Lee pleased fans with his cameos in Marvel Studios films and also made an appearance in the pages of Marvel Comics.
Marvel Entertainment tweeted the information along with a 25-second teaser film for the 2023 release.
“100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee,” Marvel Entertainment wrote in a caption that accompanied the teaser. “Stan Lee, an Original documentary, is streaming 2023 on @DisneyPlus,” the tweet read.
One fan commented, “You are a legend Stan we love you. You are the legend. Thanks for MARVEL. It changed my life. Thanks. Happy Birthday.”
