Spotify and Facebook Combine for In-App Music Release

Music streaming platform Spotify and social network Facebook have partnered up to collectively improve users’ sharing experiences.

Both companies are striving to create a more seamless audio experience for listeners through Spotify obtaining audio discovery in connection with Facebook whereby you’re not having to switch between the two apps.

Songs and podcast episodes will have full playback capabilities from Spotify for its premium users from within the mobile Facebook app on iOs and Android phones. If you’re a Spotify user without a premium subscription, you can have the same experience with ads while on shuffle mode.

Users will now be able to both share songs directly to their Facebook News Feed and have a greater reach with the tools to play tunes through the in-app mini-player.

It shows Spotify and Facebook’s intent to combine user experience and audio much to the benefit of both platform’s users.
