Sergio Agüero will miss three months of action after undergoing a “cardiological evaluation,” according to Barcelona.

The Argentine was pulled off after collapsing to the ground and clutching his chest barely 40 minutes into Barcelona’s 1-1 tie with Alavés on Saturday, but he was able to walk off the pitch unassisted.
Agüero experienced a cardiac arrhythmia, according to the Spanish newspaper Sport and the news agency EFE.

“The first team player Sergio Agüero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr. Josep Brugada,” Barça said in a statement.
“He is unavailable for selection and during the next three months the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated in order to determine his recovery process.
“The Argentine was taken to hospital for cardiological evaluation on Saturday following the Barça v Alavés game in which the Barça striker felt unwell in the first half and was replaced before half time by Philippe Coutinho.”
The 33-year-old has taken to social media following the news.
