Salt Bae Banned From 2023 L.A. Rolling Loud After World Cup

After the internet celebrity interrupted Argentina’s World Cup celebration, Salt Bae can now add Rolling Loud to the list of events from which he has been blacklisted.

Granted, Rolling Loud is probably joking and exploiting the viral moment for publicity, but the music festival announced plans to forbid Salt Bae from attending its Los Angeles festival in March on Twitter on Thursday.

“We have also banned Salt Bae from Rolling Loud LA 2023 in March,” the statement from its official Twitter account read.

For those who missed it, Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, made his way onto the field after Argentina’s victory over France in the World Cup final last Sunday. There, he held the trophy, kissed it, and forced many players, including Lionel Messi, into taking pictures with him.

Salt Bae has been forbidden from going to the 2023 U.S. Open Cup final as a result of his behavior. Tuesday’s news was revealed on the official Twitter account for the soccer competition: “Salt Bae is hereby banned from the 2023 U.S. Open Cup Final.”
