Ryan Babel releases new track ‘Reminder’ featuring Adje and Cho
The track is the second new single from his long-awaited autobiographical album.
Fifteen years after his initial steps as a rapper, Ryan Babel is making his comeback as an artist this year having already released ‘Young Champ’ along with its impressive music video. The multi-talent releases his strongest musical statement so far with his new track ‘Reminder’ featuring the two successful Amsterdam based rappers Adje and Cho. The music video also features an impressive cameo list.
The second track from Ryan Babel’s upcoming autobiographical debut album is a resounding reggae track, once again produced by Diztortion who also sings the chorus. “We initially made the track with Adje during the first lockdown of 2020,” Ryan explains. “I really wanted a verse from Cho on my album and this track was the perfect opportunity to get him involved. I’m really glad he wanted to participate.”
Adje recently scored a huge streaming hit with the track ‘Coño’ together with Puri, and Cho had a top-10 hit for the third time in a row with his new album Chosen.
For the ‘Reminder’ music video, Ryan rented out the Kurhaus in Scheveningen where he is shown sitting down with a bunch of money-makers who eventually expose their sensitive sides. Besides the four artists, director Caio Silva also gets Priceless, Sticks, Rotjoch, I Am Aisha, Quesswho, RBDjan, Deejay Abstract, and Puri in front of his lens.
Autobiographies of famous footballers are a hit, but Ryan Babel does it differently: he tells his life story through rap. There is no doubt that he has plenty to tell. “Music felt like the most natural way to tell my story, which is the reason I will share different periods of my life and career on the 8 tracks that will make up my debut album. It will definitely be an eye-opener for those who only know me from my football career…” Ryan says.
‘Reminder’ is the second single of Ryan Babel’s upcoming debut album and is now available on all streaming platforms.
