3-player package deal agreed as Russell Westbrook set to join LA Lakers from Washington Wizards

Russell Westbrook is set to join LeBron James and Anthony Davis at the Los Angeles Lakers, who have agreed a 3-player package trade with the Washington Wizards.

The deal would see Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and the No.22 pick for the 2021 NBA draft heading to the Wizards in exchange for 2017 MVP Westbrook.

ESPN reports via Hypebeast that the Lakers would also receive 2024 and 2028 second-round picks as the 2020 NBA champions hope to reclaim the championship which was won by the Milwaukee Bucks this year.

Averaging a triple-double in a season four times in his career, including in the last campaign, Westbrook has 184 triple-doubles in total compared to James, who has 99.

It’s easy to see why LeBron has already expressed his delight with the news that Westbrook will join him and Davis in LA.
