Romania seizes Andrew Tate’s luxury car collection after arrest

According to reports, Andrew Tate’s expensive car collection has been seized.

Insider reports that Romanian authorities announced the seizure on Wednesday, less than a week after the controversial person was taken into custody on suspicion of trafficking in persons and sex abuse. According to the Romanian publication Gândul, nearly a dozen automobiles, including a $2.9 million Bugatti Chiron, a Rolls-Royce Wraith, an Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate, a Porsche Carrera 4S, and a few Ferraris, were stolen from Tate’s Bucharest residence.

The vehicles were being detained, according to a spokesperson for Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), to “sustain the cost of the investigation.” The agency is currently attempting to ascertain whether funds obtained from alleged human trafficking activities were used to pay for the cars. The assets might be enough to pay for Tate’s accusers’ damages if the 36-year-old is proven guilty.

Tate and his brother Tristan were taken into custody on December 29 in Romania, where they had lived for the previous five years. The men and two Romanian women have been hit with multiple charges, including human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal group. The Tate brothers allegedly forced six women to produce pornographic material for pay-per-view websites, sexually exploiting them, according to the authorities. According to officials, there has been an inquiry into the suspects since April.
