Robert Downey Jr. reportedly paid for Armie Hammer’s rehab for six months

Armie Hammer reportedly spent six months in rehab during the period when he was out of the spotlight following a number of severe accusations brought against him. Additionally, Hammer’s appearance was paid for by none other than Robert Downey Jr., according to a recent Vanity Fair article.

According to a source, Hammer, who was accused by numerous women of sexual misbehavior, assault, and even cannibalism, finished his treatment at Florida’s The Guest House in December of the previous year. It’s also been reported that Downey Jr., who has struggled with addiction himself, is giving Hammer financial support outside of treatment.

More recently, a video surfaced that purported to show Hammer at a timeshare sales job in the Cayman Islands. Hammer, the great-grandson of oil mogul Armand Hammer, is working his timeshare job to support his two children with ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers, according to a recent report by Variety from an unnamed source.

“He is working at the resort and selling timeshares. He is working at a cubicle,” the source claimed. “The reality is he’s totally broke, and is trying to fill the days and earn money to support his family.”

When pressed on the veracity of the video, Hammer’s lawyer had this to say to Vanity Fair: “I can’t confirm or deny the report because Armie hasn’t addressed it. I just think it’s shitty that, if he is selling timeshares, the media is shaming him for having a ‘normal job.’”
