After part of a Miami hotel fatally collapsed in June killing 28 people with around 120 people still missing, the remains of the hotel have been demolished with warnings of Tropical Storm Elsa hitting the city.

Explosive charges have been used to bring down the last sector of the Champlain Towers South, which had been evacuated on Sunday night.

Approximately half of the 130 units were affected in the initial collapse with many of the hotel’s residents from Latin America. The block of the town had been constructed in 1980.

The BBC reports that since the first few hours following on from the collapse, no survivors have been found.
