Red Bull seal 2022 F1 constructors’ championship as Max Verstappen wins in Austin

After winning the title at the United States Grand Prix, Red Bull is the reigning Formula 1 Constructors’ champion for a fifth time.

The Milton Keynes team has been outstanding this year, combining high speed with dependability to win both championships.

Of course, Max Verstappen, who previously won the Drivers’ championship in Japan, started from the front again in Austin, but he really had to work for the victory on Sunday to help the Bulls win the championship.

Red Bull creating a top car in the RB18 meant that it was only a matter of time before they captured the Constructors’ title for a fifth time in the year’s closing races.

Although it was initially fragile—a double retirement in Bahrain seems like it happened a long time ago—it has since developed into the best of the best this year, as Max’s stunning drive to victory demonstrated.

After starting faster than Carlos Sainz, who was duly punted from behind by George Russell and forced to retire, he claimed the lead from P2 and immediately expanded his lead.
