There was a social media frenzy surrounding Puma and the clubs they produce kits for with the release of alternative jerseys.
Puma’s roster of clubs including Manchester City, PSV Eindhoven, Marseille and AC Milan, have been presented with shirts that don’t even have their club badges on them.
Instead, the kit manufacturers have be different by design in combining football shirt styles with streetwear. The badges have been replaced by the club’s titled name sandwiched between Puma’s and their respective shirt sponsors logo.
Fans of these clubs have criticised the jersey for looking like pyjamas or a standard t-shirt you would find at an official megastore. There appears to be very few, if any, fans that would buy or at least like the kits.
