PSG’s Kylian Mbappe scores a stunning injury-time victory against Real Madrid

Paris Saint-Germain versus Real Madrid was the highlight match of the Champions League Round of 16 draw.

However, the showdown between the two heavyweights failed to live up to the expectation in the first leg in Paris – that was until Kylian Mbappe’s magnificent injury-time winner.
PSG seemed to be on the verge of a draw at the Parc des Princes after Lionel Messi missed a penalty.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team pushed and puffed throughout the whole 90 minutes, with Mbappe looking particularly threatening. On the hour mark, Dani Carvajal brought the Frenchman down inside the penalty area due to his pace and deception.

Messi had a chance to beat Thibaut Courtois from 12 yards, but the Belgian was equal to the challenge, save low to his left.

Mbappe then won it for PSG with essentially the final kick of the game.

The Frenchman took the ball away from Neymar and displayed fantastic footwork. He maintained his composure to finish past Courtois for what may be the game-winning goal for his team.
