PSG reach agreement to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino

Mauricio Pochettino, the Argentine manager of Paris Saint-Germain, is ready to leave the club.

According to a recent report from The Athletic, following a meeting last week, the Ligue 1 giants and Pochettino will now go their own ways.

Pochettino found a way back into the game by taking over at the Parc des Princes after being out of job for over two years following Daniel Levy’s decision to fire him as Spurs manager.

The former Southampton and Espanyol manager has been in charge of the 10-time Ligue 1 winners since January 2021, and his tenure in Paris has lasted just over a year.

Despite the fact that the 50-year-stint old’s in Paris is sure to divide opinion, he did lead the team to three titles, including the Ligue 1 crown in 2021-22.

However, the South American’s exit from the Champions League in the first knockout round against Real Madrid was most likely the determining factor in his long-term future.
