Lionel Messi has received a former two-year contract from PSG after his official exit from FC Barcelona and is reviewing and considering the offer.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner’s offer from the French giants is reported to be worth £25 million a year after tax, according to Sky Sports.
Messi has two other possible options after leaving the Catalans. However, PSG are in pole position to sign the Argentine.
When announcing Messi’s departure, Barcelona cited “financial and structural obstacles” despite a contract extension being agreed with the player.
PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino has already spoken with Messi about a move to the French capital and this was the player’s response to the rumours in his press conference:
“That is one possibility, to reach those heights.
“I’ve got nothing confirmed with anybody. I had a lot of calls, a lot of interested clubs. At the moment, nothing is closed, but we are talking about a lot of things.”
