An unnamed Premier League player has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences and has been suspended by his club amid a police investigation.
As reported by Sky Sports, the suspect was arrested on Friday and has been bailed as police are currently undergoing an investigation into the matter.
The player’s team confirmed the man has been suspended pending the police investigation. Sky Sports.
They stated: “The club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time.”
