The Daily Beast reports that sports car billionaire Wolfgang Porsche has requested a divorce from his wife because of her protracted medical issues. According to insiders, 74-year-old Claudia Porsche’s “dementia-like illness” has caused lasting personality changes, making it “impossible” for 79-year-old Wolfgang, who is also the chairman of the automaker’s supervisory board, to live with her.

Although Wolfgang and Claudia apparently started dating in 2007, they didn’t get married until 2019. Claudia’s health reportedly began getting worse soon after the wedding but has significantly worsened during the past several months, according to the German publication Bild. According to sources, Claudia, a former professor and politician, is currently unable to walk freely and is dependent on Louisa Lehmann, her daughter, and house staff for “round-the-clock care.” During the previous few years, Claudia is said to have been residing with Louisa.

According to sources, Wolfgang is spending a lot of time with his longtime friend and close confidant, Princess Gabriele of Leiningen, 59. Gabriele, also known as Princess Inaara Aga Khan, was previously married to two princes: Aga Khan IV from 1998 to 2014 and Prince Karl Emich of Leiningen from 1991 to 1998. Following reports that Wolfgang and Gabriele were vacationing together in the Maldives in January, romance rumors started to circulate.

It’s unknown whose property the two are live in, but according to sources close to Gabriele, they moved in together since they didn’t want to be apart for any period of time.
