Pedri, a midfielder for Barcelona, has received the Golden Boy award for the best under-21 player in a European country’s premier league for 2021.
Pedri, 18, won the prize by a record 199 points over England and Borussia Dortmund player Jude Bellingham.
Last season, he played more minutes than any other Barcelona player, and he went on to represent Spain at Euro 2020 and won Olympic silver.
However, due to a thigh injury, he has not played since September.
Pedri, who joined Barca from Las Palmas in 2020, signed a new contract with the Catalan club in October that included a 1 billion euro (£846 million) release clause.
Erling Braut Haaland of Borussia Dortmund received the Golden Boy award in 2020.
Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, and Kylian Mbappe have all received the award since it was first given out in 2003.
