Paul Pogba informs police his brother is part of €13m blackmail attempt

According to Get French Football News, Paul Pogba has reportedly told police that his own brother, Mathias, is involved in a €13 million blackmail attempt.

In a video he shared on Twitter on Saturday night, Mathias claimed that he will reveal information about his brother, obliquely suggesting that this information would change how the public views the Juventus player.

Per the Daily Mail, Mathias said: “The French, English, Italian and Spanish public, in other words the whole world, as well as my brother’s fans, and even more so the French team and Juventus, my brother’s team-mates and his sponsors deserve to know certain things.

“In order to make an informed decision if he deserves the admiration, respect and love of the public.

“If he deserves his place in the French team and the honour of playing in the World Cup. If he deserves to be a starter at Juventus. If he is a trustworthy person, that any player deserves to have at his side.”

The video also went onto make comments about Rafaela Pimenta, who succeeded Mino Raiola as Pogba’s agent upon his passing, as well as Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe.

The Mail quote Pogba’s lawyers as responding to the video by saying: “Mathias Pogba’s recent statements on social networks are unfortunately not a surprise. They are in addition to threats and organised extortion attempts against Paul Pogba.”
