Part 2 of Kanye West’s ‘Drink Champs’ Interview is now available

On Thursday, Kanye West appeared on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs, a Black Effect Network podcast.

The rapper talks about Gangster Disciple founder Larry Hoover, who is serving a life sentence in federal prison, in Part Two of his conversation with co-hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. Larry Hoover Jr. joins the conversation. Ye also talks about his Yeezy brand and mental wellness. In the video, he compares the music industry to cows that are blissfully unaware that they are on their way to being slaughtered. During the conversation, he also discusses his struggles with mental health, from medicine to anger control. He recommends making little changes to daily life to aid with mental health, such as improved lighting. He explains, “We’re all on the spectrum somewhere.”

He addressed his issue with Drake in his first interview with Drink Champs last week, comparing their fight to sports. He said that “professional rap” employs strategies similar to those used on the court, on the field, or in the ring. “Isn’t it all psychological?” So, what pen, what button is going to be pressed?”

In a video J Prince published on Twitter earlier this month, he extended an olive branch to Drake. Ye suggested that he and Drake collaborate on a show next month “with the ultimate goal of freeing Larry Hoover.”
