On a free transfer from Napoli, Insigne signs a $13 million-per-year contract with MLS team Toronto FC

 

 

After being granted a long-term contract, the Italy international forward is set to take on a new challenge in Canada.

 

GOAL can reveal that Toronto FC and Lorenzo Insigne have reached an agreement for the Euro 2020 champion to join them as a free agent after his contract with Napoli expires.

After spending his whole career on the books of his hometown club, the 30-year-old forward is due to enter free agency in the summer and is eager to take on a new challenge.

As his contract with Naples expires, Insigne has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe, but the Italy international will be expanding his wings on July 1 when he travels to Canada.
