The Formula 1 team Williams Racing announced on Friday that Nicholas Latifi and the team will split ways at the end of the 2022 season.
55 Grand Prix starts by Nicholas Latifi resulted in 7 team championship points.
“We want to thank Nicky for his commitment and hard work over the last 3 years and wish him all the best in the next steps of his career,” Williams Racing said in a statement.
Latifi expressed his gratitude to everyone at Williams Racing and said it had been an honor to represent them for the last three years.
“Getting those first points in Hungary last year was a moment I’ll never forget, and I will move onto the next chapter of my career with special memories of my time with this dedicated team. I know none of us will stop putting in every effort until the end of the season,” he said.
The 27-year-old Canadian made his Formula 1 debut at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and went on to compete in 55 Grands Prix, earning seven championship points.
