Nicholas Latifi, a Williams driver, has said that he has received death threats following the F1 season finale

In the aftermath of Formula One’s controversial season finale, Williams driver Nicholas Latifi has said he has received death threats. After his collision at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which prompted a wild finish to the title battle, the Canadian has been abused.

With five circuits to go, the 26-year-old collided with a wall, bringing out the safety car when Lewis Hamilton was leading. After FIA race director Michael Masi’s decision to let the five lapped cars between Hamilton and Verstappen to unlap themselves, it allowed Max Verstappen to pit for fresher tyres and eventually pass Hamilton to win the drivers’ title.
