Following the supposed leak of their new away kit, Newcastle United will apparently wear the same colors as Saudi Arabia next season.
The traditional green and white colors of the Gulf State will be used on Castore’s jersey.
The Saudi-based Public Investment Fund owns 80% of the Premier League club.
And now, according to the Daily Mail, their new away shirt will pay tribute to them with its new appearance.
The official Newcastle club badge, as well as the sleeves and collar trim, are all green.
It will be held against a white backdrop, similar to the Saudi national team’s jersey.
The Magpies will most likely see it as an opportunity to boost money through jersey sales in the Middle East while also “representing their owners” next season.
After the design was leaked on social media, several fans seemed to like it.
However, not everyone was happy when they instantly identified the Saudi ties.
