In its first week of release on Netflix, Tim Burton’s Wednesday has been a huge success.

According to Netflix, the show, which has Jenna Ortega as the lead character, Christina Ricci, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, has generated a record-breaking 341.2million viewing hours, surpassing Stranger Things.

It shares the top spot with Stranger Things in 83 different nations.

Netflix said in a tweet on Tuesday: ‘Wednesday now holds the record for most hours viewed in a week for an English-language series on Netflix, with 341.2 MILLION HOURS!’

The new Addams Family spin-off centers on Jenna Ortega’s gothic adolescent Wednesday as she enrolls in the boarding school Nevermore Academy.

It dethroned popular Netflix titles like The Crown, 1899, and Dead to Me to rise to the top of the most-watched list just after its earlier this month debut.

In the frightening drama, Pugsley, Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen), Catherine Zeta-distinctive Jones’s Morticia, and Luis Guzman’s portrayal of her husband Gomez round out the cast (Isaac Ordonez).
