Mukesh Ambani approaches Liverpool with takeover bid

Mukesh Ambani, the eighth-richest person in the world, has contacted Liverpool about buying the team.

The Indian is ranked as the eighth richest person in the world by Forbes and has an estimated net worth of £90 billion.

 

The Mirror claims that after Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool’s present owners, stated a willingness to sell the team, has approached Liverpool.

 

According to rumors, FSG would consider selling the club for bids of up to £4 billion.

The dominant Mumbai Indians of the IPL are presently owned by Ambani.

 

It’s reported the 65-year-old “would be prepared to pump millions into the club for transfers to enhance Liverpool’s ambitions of remaining as one of Europe’s most successful clubs.”

 

After buying the Mumbai Indians, he earned the title of “The World’s Richest Sports Team Owner.”
