Ms. Marvel gets release date and trailer

The first Ms. Marvel trailer has arrived, and it depicts the new superhero in a colorful high-school adventure. The series will also premiere on Disney Plus on June 8th, according to Marvel.

Kamala Khan, as Ms. Marvel, is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American adolescent from Jersey City who idolizes Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, in the new Marvel TV program. Kamala struggles to fit in at school until she develops her shape-shifting abilities and becomes her own superhero.

Kamala is portrayed by Iman Vellani, a newcomer who will repeat her role in The Marvels, a sequel to Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. Ms. Marvel is the first Marvel film to include a Muslim heroine, paving the way for increased diversity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Bisha K. Ali, who previously worked as a writer on Loki, conceived and executive produced the show. It joins WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, and the forthcoming Moon Knight as Disney Plus shows with ties to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie developed Ms. Marvel, which is based on the original character. In Captain Marvel #14, Kamala makes her debut as the new Ms. Marvel.

Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon direct the episodes. As a consultant producer and writer, A.C. Bradley, the chief writer of the animated anthology series What If…?, is involved.

Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha are among the supporting cast members.
